Cath came to share her unique way of working with the Light of Mind team in 2022. She shines far and wide, spending some of her week as a therapist in the prestigious South London and Maudsley Eating Disorder Service.
Cath believes in the power of using lived experience to support people’s healing journeys and became the Peer Support Pathway Lead at the Maudsley Eating disorders service in 2023 after founding and developing the first ever lived experience pathway at the service and she now supports other services introducing peer support.
Cath also has significant experience supporting people, and adapting therapy, for people who are neurodiverse and she is involved with the PEACE Pathway which was developed to support people with autism.
Cath is currently co-creating a Recovery animation with Woven Ink & the Peer Support Pathway with the aim to promote hope & comfort & motivation for those struggling with eating disorders.
She and Mary met in the NHS when they were both working on a joint creative project for the NHS Eating Disorder FREED pathway. They instantly fell in love with each other’s creativity and passion for finding ways to work with people and think outside, next to, underneath and anywhere but inside ‘the ‘box’! Mary and she have spent many hours sharing poetry, quotes and ideas on how to help people find their sense of wellbeing within. Mary invited Cath to join her at Light of Mind not least because Cathy oozes compassion, humanity, warmth, creativity and a deep intuitive understanding about how to help people find their healing. You only have to be in her presence for a few moments to feel at ease, hopeful and excited about what is possible for and within you.
Cath has an unwavering belief in people’s capacity to change and will work alongside you to help you find your own unique pathway to healing.
Cath lives in London and can often be found offering healing workshops at various UK festivals!
